Use Netscape 7 to export Eudora Address Books

Eudora has no convenient way to export Address Books, but Netscape 7 can be used to convert Eudora Address Books into *.LDIF format which can be imported by many mail clients including Mac OS X Mail.

1. Start Netscape 7

2. Go to the Window menu and Address Book - an Address Book window opens

3. Under Tools pick Import...

4. In the next two dialog boxes pick Address Book and Eudora.

5. You will be asked to find the Eudora folder that contains the mail boxes and address book information. Choose the Eudora folder (not the address book file). Under Mac OS 9 the Eudora folder was in the System Folder.

The address book and mail will be imported.

6. In Netscape 7 under Address Books select Eudora Nicknames (you should see the addresses listed after the selection).

7. Go back up to Tools and select Export...

8. Save as Eudora.ldif (or anything else).

9. Open Mac OS X Address Book (it's in the Dock) and in Applications folder.

10. Use File > Import... to import the Eudora.ldif address book
