I am a physical oceanographer interested in paleoceanography/ geochemistry applications.
Sea-level: I work with Eelco Rohling and David Smeed on sea level reconstructions based on a hydraulic model of the Red Sea. This has led to a long-term interest in sea-level change.
Ocean circulation: I work with Thomas Stocker (Univ. Bern), Bob Anderson (Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory) and others on including Pa/Th and Nd isotopes in ocean models. These isotopes are used used to reconstruct past ocean circulation.
Current: I collaborate with Derek Vance on Nd isotopes and with many others, focusing on millennial variability of the climate.
