Research Assisstant - QUEST
My recent research investigated the effects of climate change on carbon storage in high latitude peatlands. I am also interested in the relationship between plant root exudates and soil microorganisms responsible for trace gas cycling (CH4, CO2 and H2) in mires.
I have recently joined QUEST to work on the project: "Climate change and uplands", which is co-funded by the Environmental Agency and focuses on the implications of climate change for upland environments, including consideration of the carbon balance of organic soils. . Within this project, I am currently developing a Bioclimatic envelope model of the present global distribution of boreal peatlands.
